Purple cloth boards show fading along edges and spine is sunned to the point where nearly all the color is gone. Spotting and scuffing is also present, with the worst being the rear board. Edges and corners show light bumping/wear. The internal binding is good, no serious hinge issues except for some light pulling. Previous owners info is penned on the front end page and the opposite pastedown has roughness to the paper where it is likely a bookplate was removed. No other handwriting found in the book, no library markings, no torn pages. Both end pages and pastedowns show toning and some light spotting/foxing.

With Compliments of Leslie Carter, David Belasco". Signed by Belasco and his leading lady , Leslie Carter. Tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Ms. Carter and many other illustrations.
