Glue at tail of spine. Some staining and discolouration to boards. Text leaves very good. Suitable for rebinding. Provenance: Annette Baier (1919-2012), philosopher. Name in ink on front endpaper "A C Baier". ; This copy is number 40 of an edition of 50 copies printed on Large Paper. Limitation statement handwrittten on verso of first blank leaf, and signed by the editor "Alfred W. Pollard". [2 (blank)]. [2], xxxix, 233, [1 (blank)] pages + frontispiece. Faux vellum boards with red and black lettering on spine and front board. Small gilt harp illustration on front board, with lettering "APOLLONOS". Title page printed in red and black, with square peacock illustration. Page dimensions: 215 x 177mm. Plenty of blank space in the margins. .
