G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York, 1935. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Elegantly inscribed on the front free endpaper: "For David G. Joyce, who follows in the great footsteps, cordially inscribed by Donald Culross Peattie." Uncommon signed, his best known book aside from *An Almanac for Moderns.* Near fine in gray cloth boards with light edge wear to top and bottom of spine and light bumping to corners. In a very good clipped (but not price-clipped) jacket with slight loss to corners and top of spine. The spine is possibly faded (unclear if green coloration originally wrapped around).
