Clean, very solid, tightly bound book in olive green cloth with black titles on front and spine; corners and spine head and heel are lightly scuffed, edges rubbed. Green and yellow headbands. Frontis: the Chalk Cliffs; twelve full page illustrations, twenty-five + sketch and colored maps, numerous sketches throughout the text, pages are clean with no underlining, no highlighting, no marginalia. Hand made pocket with checkout card on paste down. Pages 271/272 are missing. Twelve genealogical tables, bibliography, and index. A nice, clean, solid volume. 695 pp 7.75 x 5.5". 1904, Ginn & Company, Boston, MA
