The first edition.Signed by the author to the dedication leaf.An anthology of poetry by Blanche Oelrichs, written under her pen name Michael Strange.The poems are in five sub-divisions, 'Nature', 'Human Nature', 'Americana', 'My Family', and 'Miscellaneous'.Poems include 'Southampton Beach', 'Sunrise at Nawshaun', 'Disillusion', 'On Leaving a Country Place', 'Our Hidden House', and more. Illustrated with a frontispiece. Oelrichs was an American poet, playwright, and actress. Bookplate of Herbert Boyce Satcher to the front paste down, a rector who was an authority on hymnology. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Spine is a little faded. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean. Frontispiece is working loose to the tail. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
