About This Item
Chicago, IL: Fleming H. Revell Company, 1881. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover. Bound in brown cloth. Cover is plain with gilt lettering on the spine. L MOODY (1837-1899) was probably the most well-known and respected evangelist in the late 1800's. He preached to thousands on both sides of the Atlantic, started schools and established what is now Moody Bible Institute. SECRET POWER (or, âThe Secret of Success in Christian Life and Workâ) is Moody's classic work on the need for reliance on the Holy Spirit. He gives a brief survey on the person and work of the Holy Spirit, as well as the need for believers today to seek the Spirit of God for fullness of power. Moody differentiates between the Spirit being âinâ a believer at conversion, and resting âuponâ them in power for service. He looks at how the Holy Spirit empowers a believer as well as some of the things that may hinder His work from him. A powerful and practical classic that is still very relevant today! 116 + 11pp.

CONDITION: Covers are heavily rubbed. Top and bottom edge of spine heavily worn and back gutter has been repaired. Pages have a sparse amount of underlining, text is clear and easily read. Front and back hinges are cracked but binding and text block are sound. Full refund if not satisfied.
