About This Item

Text is clean and unmarked in a square and tight binding. Only defect is age-toning especially on the edges of the text block. A solid copy. Price unclipped DJ is smudged with a chip out of the bottom spine and several small chips at the top, corners, and spine of the DJ. This volume belonged to Mel Fiske (1918 - 2008), a labor union organizer and card carrying Communist. His signature is on the inside front binding. From the front DJ flap, "Interpreting the main events in the national development of the United States during its early history, this book covers the period from the establishment of the Federal Government in 1789 to the end of Monroe's second administration in 1824."
