About This Item
New York: Simon and Schuster. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. [very slight wear to book at spine ends, otherwise quite nice; jacket has a tiny nick and some minor wrinkling at the top edge of the front panel, slight sun-fading along spine]. (drawings) An epistolary novel, as Prudence (who is nutty enough about sports cars that she builds one in her bedroom!) writes to her mother about her adventures as a sports-car saleswoman at Thoroughbred Motors, described as "the Museum of Modern Art with partitions knocked out -- pure art, pure design, the perfect background for foreign cars." The rear jacket photo shows the co-authors seated in a 1933 MG K3 Magnett Super Charged 1087 CC. .

About ReadInk
Now in our 24th year of on-line bookselling, ReadInk offers an eclectic selection of quality books in a variety of subject areas. We are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (our customer). All orders and inquiries receive our prompt, personal attention. Our grading of a book's condition is conservative ("Fine" is our highest grade, and used sparingly); all significant flaws are described, but we will be happy to provide additional information and/or a scanned image upon request. Your book will be shipped promptly, well-wrapped and securely packaged; the dust jacket, if any, will be enclosed in a new Brodart cover.
