Second edition 1854 published by Long man, Brown, Green, And Longmans - London.
Hardcover. Overall Condition: G – to G. Second edition. Small octavo. (xxxix) 255pp. + 24pp. of the original publisher's ads at the rear. Blue-green cloth boards with blind stamped motifs on the front cover and gilt lettering on the spine. Publisher's ads at interior covers. What appears to be a previous owner's name stamp appears at lower edge of title page (refer pic). The publication is the second edition of the Arnold's second collection of poems which was originally published the previous year. The book contains some of Arnold best known work including "Sorab and Rustum" and Tristram and Iseult". The book retains the original front and back covers and spine is firm. Covers stained and smudged, with some light bumping along the corners. Interior with minor age toning to the pages and occasional dust stains. Binding in good, interior in good- condition overall.
