London: J. Hatchard, 1812. Hardcover. Sixth Edition. xlv, [3], 127; [5], 223, [1] pp. Small octavo. Two volumes bound as one. Bound by Taylor and Hessey in contemporary red Moroccan leather. Decorative gilt boarders on front and back boards, plus gilt inner dentelles. Spine has eight raised bands and gilt decoration, title and volume number. Gilt edges. Seemingly recased, corners slightly bumped with moderate edgewear. Spine somewhat darkened and worn, joints starting, somewhat rubbed and soiled. Some foxing on ffep. Small gilt ex-libris book plate on front paste down. Text is bright. Fore-edge painting details a river scene below a bridge with a cathedral in the background, artist unknown. In overall very good + condition. From the state of Randall Moskovitz, MD, Memphis, Tennessee. Ex-libris Estelle Doheny. 1812
