A very fine copy of Paul Gaugin's Sketchbook, plus two softcover volumes of text, one in English, one in French. Limited to 1000 copies, this is copy #737 as indicated on last page. Errata notes laid in. The Facsimile reprint of the sketchbook is astounding. Smudges, stains, pencil marks even a grocery list or two are perfectly reproduced. This sketchbook covers the period from 1884 to 1888. Printed by yhr Hammer Galleries, N.Y. in 1962. This three volume set is in fine condition and appears to be unread and untaouched. In a slipcase, which is also in fine condition
Ab excellent addition for any artbook collector and lover of Gaugin's work.
