About This Item

London and Glasgow: Collins Crime Club, 1970 First Edition. Collins, London 1970.

Book is near fine except few miniscule spots on edges of the text block and a slightly skewing.

Dustwrapper is near fine except some miniscule browning of the backflap and the back panel. Unclipped. Almost unvisible fading to the red letters of the spine (see photos). Now well preserved in an unvisible archival plastic cover.

Regarding the age this book is in an extraordinary well preserved condition. Collector's choice.

Synopsis

When a bored diplomat is approached in a bleak airport by a woman whose life is in danger, he agrees in a moment of weakness to lend her his passport and boarding ticket. Suddenly, Stafford Nye's own life is on the line, and he is caught in a web of international intrigue. To escape he must outwit the power-crazed Countess von Waldsausen, hell-bent on world domination. In 1970, Passenger to Frankfurt was published to coincide with Christie's eightieth year. On publication, the novel was the largest printing ever of a first edition Christie. The 58,000 copies sold out quickly.
