The plate opposite p. 62 has a chipped outer edge. Maroon cloth with gilt decoration - a garland surrounding the crown of France inside ornate borders. The endpapers are similarly decorated. Some wear at the head and tail of the spine. Corners a bit bumped. All edges gilt. Interesting picture book illustrating this period of French history and culture.
