About This Item
Akron, OH: The Saalfield Publishing Co., 1938. First edition, 1938, with a personalized inscription signed by the author on the front free endpaper. This has an unfortunate musty odor from basement storage that should dissipate over time. Pictorial hardcover with green cloth spine, illustrated in color and black and white throughout, matching dustjacket. The book has some rubbing to the extremities, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with no other names or markings - and the aforenoted musty odor. The mylar protected dustjacket is in fair condition with a significantchip tot he front, additional chipping to spine that does not affect the title, closed tear to rear, overall soil from use. A fun book about the insects that live and thrive in our gardens.. Inscribed by The Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
