Carbondale and Edwardsville: Southern Illinois University Press, 1971. Reprint. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. Pp. [vi], vii-xii, [4], 3-370. Preface by Harry T. Moore. Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering printed on spine. Top edge foxed; clean and tight within. In the dust jacket, with original price of $10.00 intact on front flap. One of the great novels of the Pacific Northwest lumber industry. Perhaps not as well known as Sometimes a Great Notion, Cantwell had first-hand experience in a plywood mill. Later he served as Senior Editor at "Sports Illustrated." Dust jacket is now preserved within a clear, removable archival sleeve.
