About This Item
Written by Col. Winfield Jones, who in 1921 published "The Story of the Ku Klux Klan" which was 50 pages, became very popular so 20 years later with more research he wrote The Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, which is a very thorough historical account of how the Klan was formed in 1866 up through 1940. The book itself is in Very Good Condition, though the gilt is wearing off the cover and spine and the back cover has a stain on it, the paper is bond, a very good quality and still quite clear being 81 years old. There are a few pages in the back of the book at the center/top of the pages that have water marks on them but their minor and do not take away from the readability of the book. The binding is tight and there is minor shelf wear at the bottom corners. If it weren't for the wearing gilt and stain on the back cover I would have rated the book Fine-. It is a very rare book and in this condition I have priced it fairly. It is 8 in x 5 in x 0.05 in, weighs 1 lb, 294 pages, blue cloth over boards, gold gilt insignia on cover and gilt lettering on spine. No tears, missing pages or spots. See images.
