An account by this Johns Hopkins professor of Filson, the eighteenth century cartographer and historian who helped to found present-day Cincinatti. A replica of Filson's map of Kentucky is present in rear pocket. VG (offsetting to endpapers, soiling, front board slightly bowed) in a VG dustjacket (chipping, soiling, 1" tear near spine).
