About This Item

London: Rupert Hart-Davis, 1967. First. Hardback book. Very Good. Scarce copy of this first edition, first printing of the author's award winning first novel. Boards and spine in very good condition with no obvious defects. A couple of the pages have very small creases to the corners, and the top edge of the book has an orange mark across the top of the pages (only visible when the book is closed). Pages are otherwise very clean and bright, excellent condition for age. Jacket bright and colourful, with very slight fading to spine (author's name is faint) with some very minor scuffing and raising to edges and a small closed tear to the front. Not price clipped. Generally a good, collectable example.

Synopsis

... And Call Me Conrad was Roger Zelazny's first novel. In its original publication, it was abridged by the editor and serialized in two parts in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in October and November of 1965. It tied with Frank Herbert's Dune for the 1966 Hugo Award for Best Novel.
