London: Macmillan & Co Ltd. , 1956. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 7.5" by 5" . None . The first edition accompaniment to the 'Strangers and Brothers' series, featuring recurring protagonist and narrator Lewis Eliot. The first edition of the work.In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper. In the original cloth binding.'Homecomings' is the seventh book in C. P. Snow's 'Strangers and Brothers' series, in which we follow the narrator Lewis Eliot and his life pre, during and post-war. This book entails the beginning of a new love for Eliot, which shows an intimate side to his character for the reader. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities. There is a thin piece of tape adhered to the end board edge. Dust wrapper has a small chip to the tail of spinal panel and general edge wear, however in very good condition overall. Handling marks to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Contemporary ink inscription by owner to the front free endpaper. Very Good
