First edition, first printing. x, 274pp, [2], with fold-out illustrated process chart for frontispiece and one further fold-out map. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Markedly rubbed and rounded at spine tips, with crack in cloth along front joint, gently rubbed and rounded at corners, a few scattered mild marks. Mild toning to text block edges. Ex lending library with usual markings on front endpapers only. Mild toning to endpapers. A little loosened with one cracked gutter.
