SCARCE 1854 History of the Reigns of Louis XVIII and Charles X, providence: Eton College alumnus 1859. FIRST EDITION in Publisher's original Hardback, bound in blue dyed calf. Spine beautifully decorated with 5 raised spine bands, gold gilt design and lettering. Marbled page edges, bottom, fore, top. Marbled end papers with different design from edges. Clean, unmarked, bright pages. Tight binding. Boards with little shelfwear considering book is 150+ years old. Corners bumped, crown/heel and sides of spine with edge wear. Prev. owner's inscription dated 1859 at Eton College on ffep (famous school which Prince William, first in line to the Bristish throne, and other nobels are alumni). Also, sticker on front end page of prev. owner. Additional photos upon (email) request. For shipping, book will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a clean box.
