Brown cloth boards with blind stamp title and decoration. Title is faded.Rubbing at corners and chipping to cloth around edges. Brown cloth color is fading to white in places from shelfwear. Spine roll. Pencil marks on fep. Binding is coming loose, some pages are very loosely held together. Expected age-tanning to pages. An exceedingly unique little book in which Macmillan packaged Ernest Poole’s first published novel about working class rights into an edition specifically made for high school readers. Fiction
