London, England: Cassell & Company, Limited, 1904. Third Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo.White, cloth-over-boards (8 1/2 in. x 6 in.), heavily laced with gilt to both boards and spine. Dark green, clay-based endpapers (beware using post-its!) Illustrated with 235 photographs taken by the author, one of which is a map of Ceylon, in part colored. Beveled board edges, and all edges gilt. 476 pp. Just a wee bit of darkening, rubbing and nudging to several corners.
