John Camden Hotten, 1861. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1861. No Edition Remarks. 210 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt decorations; rectangular inlaid illustration to front board. Black and white in-text decorations throughout. 2 pages of publisher's adverts to rear. All text block edges gilt. Slight cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting, pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Small hole to cloth to fore edge of rear board. Slight warping and faint red stain to inlaid illustration. Gilt slightly faded in places. Book has a moderate forward lean.
