DJ with photograph. 208 pp. with 50 tri-tone and 169 halftone reproductions. The first monograph produced on Felix Teynard (1817-1892), French master of the calotype. Egypt et Nubie, first published in 1858, is reproduced in its entirety, along with Howe's critical essay and with translator's remarks. Essential for Egyptologists or enthusiasts of early photography.
