SECOND EDITION 1799, first published in 1796, revised and expanded by the author in 5 books. Text in French. 4to, approximately 250 x 195 mm, 10 x 8 inches, pages: viii, 1-351, half-title present, bound in half calf over marbled boards. Hinges rubbed and cracked but holding on the cords, slight chipping to head and tail of spine, boards scuffed with some loss of marbled paper, corners worn with board showing at tips, shelf wear edges of boards, first and last endpapers lightly stained plus 2 neat ink names, minor pale small stain to inner margins from page 249 through to end not affecting text, occasional small spot otherwise a good copy.
