First edition. Illustrated throughout. A romance novel recording the last cycle of the history of the Cro-Magnon period. Following the members and their simple way of life hunting and worshipping animals, exploring the relationship between hunter and artist. Written by Jean Schopfer, under the pseudonym Claude Anet, a French tennis player and a writer. Jeffrey E. Jeffrey, a British translator of French literature. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with light discolouration to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and small closed tears to the extremities. Minor sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. Two 1" closed tears to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
