Introduced by Kate Millett, this collection features the "New Kind of Woman" from many walks of life, including intimate portraits of well-known artists and writers like Millett, Patti Smith, Michelle Phillips, Barbara Hammer, Lily Tomlin, Diane di Prima, Shelley Winters, Jane Fonda, and many more. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; moderate amount of wear, rubbing to edges of black cloth boards, cloth just starting to split over bottom corners; silver foil titling remains bright and bold; previous owner name inscribed at top edge of title page; photos and text very good throughout. Unclipped dust jacket worn around edges and flap folds with a few closed tears; light rubbing to front and rear panels; jacket arrives wrapped in protective mylar.
