Each volume has correct 1-10 number line for First Printing. Over 800 pages of newspaper accounts, photos and reproductions of memorabilia from DiMaggio's incomparable career, with commentary and an introduction by DiMaggio himself. (Ref. Bauman Rare Books). Twice Signed by Joe Dimaggo (1914-1999); "Joltin Joe", the "Yankee Clipper" played only for the NY Yankee's during his 13 years in the Major Leagues. Holder of the longest hitting streak (56 games), the 13X All Star (1936-1942, 1946-1951), 9X World Series, 3X AL MVP, 2X AL Batting champ, 2X AL home run leader, 2X AL RBI leader ended with career with a .325 batting average, 2,214 hits, 361 home runs and 1,537 RBIs. Yes, he is in the Hall of Fame (1955). Joe D. missed the 1943-1945 seasons when he inlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He and Marilyn Monroe eloped at San Francisco City Hall in 1954; a union that lasted only nine months. Still, after her death Joe D. had a half-dozen red roses delivered to her crypt 3X per week for 20 years. 9.25x11.25 in.
