This Edition of Rene Le Sage's "Asmodeus or The Devil on Two Sticks" has been printed from the rare translation published by William Strange in 1841. The illustrations are from drawings specially made for the Navarre Society by Philip Hagreen. Two thousand copies have been printed from type set by The Riverside Press, Edinburgh." (From the flyleaf) Hardcover. Green covers with gilt designs and lettering on front and spine. Book plate on front paste down. Golden top stain. Deckled edges. Contains black and white illustrations. Front and back end papers have a stain. Some foxing on pages and edges. Occasional pencil marks, none compromise readability. Cover and dust jacket have some light wear. Dust jacket comes wrapped in a Mylar cover. Has a green ribbon bookmark. [xxxv] 379 pp. Overall a very nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
