About This Item

New York: Random House, [1978]., 1978. First edition. First edition. Fine in dust jacket with light chipping to front bottom corner. The second adventure for Oklahoma City private investigators, Steve Cranmer and Butch Maneri. Cranmer receives a call from O'Hearn, an old friend who is now working as an undercover man for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He's working in a small Oklahoma town and needs the help of Cranmer and Maneri to help him land a rather large fish. But when they arrive the next day, they learn that O'Hearn has been stabbed to death! There are no clues to the big case he'd been working on. Their investigation reveals the hidden side of the town of Two Kettle .... its drug and gambling operations and the secrets of many of its citizens.
