London: Printed for the Author, and sold by the Booksellers in Town and Country, 1739. First edition, second printing. Leather_bound. Very Good. 7 1/2 x 9 3/4 inches. 4to. 728 numbered pages (pages restart at 125 after 184, 483 after 484). A-5G (in 4s). Engraved frontispiece and 32 engravings (2 with double images). Title page in red and black. Old ink ownership inscription of Mary Joyce to ffep. Occasional stains and toning, but pages generally clean. Bound in contemporary brown calf. Spine with five raised bands with gilt decorations in five compartments and red spine label with "Life o[f] Christ" with small loss. Chipping loss to head and tail of spine, and small losses to edges and corners of boards. Hinges split at exterior but holding firm. Not in ESTC. ESTC records two similar editions. ESTCT105563 (1737), ESTCT195458 (1740). A very good copy of this scarce "biography" of Jesus Christ, the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
