Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1980. Paperback. Very Good. Princeton, Princeton University Press, 1980 (first thus)/ 1968. Quarto, l, 176 pages with 341 illustrations plus 5 plates. Pictorial card covers lightly rubbed and very slightly bumped and creased; an excellent copy. With the ink ownership signature of scholar and palaeographer Leonard Eugene Boyle OP OC, inscribed 'Toronto', where Boyle taught at the Center for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto (NY Times obituary). Beneath this is an ink notation in his hand (dated 1 September 1984), the year he was appointed Prefect of the Vatican Library. Bollingen Series XXXV, 10; The A.W. Mellon Lectures in Fine Arts, 1961.
