London: Printed by Iohn [John] Norton, for Ioyce [Joyce] Norton and Richard Whitaker, 1633. Leather Bound. Very Good. 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches. Small folio. Two volumes bound as one. Vol. 1: [10] + 98 (75-76 misnumbered) + [2]. Vol. 2: [4] + 320 + [4] pages. A good strong printing in single column black letter with Roman titles and page headers. Includes elaborate woodcut title page and final "Thankes-giving for the Suppression of the last Rebellion" and Colophon. With old ownership inscriptions of C. Combe (dated July 17, 1836), William Becket (dated 1756) and death record of Benjamin Becket (died July 17, 1836) on endpapers. Title page chipped and worn with loss at edges. Last two leaves with marginal losses not affecting text. One small work track (approx. 1 cm) in extreme top margin of a few pages of the second tome. Occasional dampstain or smudge, mostly at margins of first and last few pages. A few small unobtrusive library stamps in margins. Bound in full modern brown leather with red spine label with title and date in gilt. The first volume is attributed to Thomas Cranmer and others. ESTCS119273. The second was likely compiled by John Jewel. ESCTS119270. King Charles the Martyr's Edition of Queen Elizabeth's Sermons.
