Cassell's Old and New Edinburgh: Its History, its People, and its Places (3 Vols), Grant, James. Published by Cassell & Co., Ltd., London, 1884. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Vol. I xii, 384pp., Vol. II xii, 384pp., Vol. III xii, 392pp. Illustrated throughout. Half leather over brown cloth boards, gilt spine titles. Toning to pages which are otherwise fine and without marks, tears or folds; one plate detached (see picture); inner hinges are lightly weakened. Boards have rubbing to all edges; light soiling; tiny splits to the leather of spine heads; spines lightly faded. A complete set in very good condition. Cassell's Old and New Edinburgh by James Grant was first printed as a periodical in the 1880s.
