Academy For Future Science . Hardcover. Excellent book!!! Very spiritual but you need to be ready for it. The book will be way over someone's head if they have not been doing meditation and energy work, daily for many years. If you have not shifted already, the content will be hard to grasp and seem like a bunch of etherial bull crap. It's not. Had I read this 25 years ago, it would have seem more like a mythological fairy tail rather than the universal truth. This is not for lovers of The Secret, The Celestine Prophecy or even Deepak Chopra fans. It's gets into the truths of the universe and unless you have been physically seeing the Matrix, Auras, Angels, Deceased, it will just be a story. I've been meditating for 25 years, do not take drugs of any kind, legal or otherwise and do not drink. No I am not a nut and very happy and balance. I'm amazed at the knowledge in this book. Unclipped* wrapper has two short closed tears, gently faded spine and just a bit of wear at spine head. *a Nash inventory re-order form is still attached to rear jacket flap-something which is clearly unintended for the purchaser. So, this copy is unclipped x two!! An extremely fresh, attractive book and what great campy art on the wrapper!

8.25 x 11.25 (Oversize format) Fine/Fine; book is fresh and the pages are white, white! Straight, tight, square- not a hint of foxing, not even on the top edge. Binding is beautiful. Clipped(err..!) still glossy wrapper is the same- perhaps just a hint of rubbing/dust-dulling but so minor- hey, let's not ruin the fun, eh? This is The One.

Summary: "The Bone People, first published in 1984 by Spiral, New Zealand. About this book: The Bone People is an unusual story of love. It is unusual in the telling, the subject matter, and the form of love that the story depicts. This is in no way a romance; it is filled with violence, fear, and twisted emotions. At the story's core, however, are three people who struggle very hard to figure out what love is and how to find it. Hulme won New Zealand's Pegasus Prize for Literature (1984) for The Bone People. Then the book went on to win the prestigious Booker Prize (1985).

Binding is square, tight and clean save for a stray mark on reverse. Red top stain. Internals clean except for faint marginal spotting/staining on pp.136-37. Old Weiser booklabel on front pastedown. Unclipped wrapper has minor wrinkling/ small creases (it is a very thin gold foil paper jacket) plus some edgewear; else Fine. Fifty-seven illustrations on b/w plates interspersed throughout text; again, as mentioned elsewhere on this space; images perhaps those not commonly seen re-printed ad nauseum.
