Great account of the 1864 creating the Union Pacific Railroad, giving it $100 million dollars. Thomas C Durant then managed to direct millions to his own construction company .. well worth a read!
Condition: NOT a library book. Careful, professional re-bind with original cover cloth re-applied. Interior is free of marks, pencil, plates, crimps, etc. Initial six pages are heavily toned and professionally repaired as photographed. But complete and in overall very good condition.
