New York: The Macmillan Company, 1915. Hardcover. Good. First edition. Small octavo. 289, [3 publishers ads] pp. Ex-library, with catalog number on the spine, bookplate on the front pastedown, small red check on the front fly, a stamp on the title page, and the remains of a pocket on the rear pastedown. Slightly cocked, spine ends and corners bumped, crown with a small tear, binding and page edges rubbed and lightly soiled, a sound but good only copy, with clean text. The poet's interesting take on the current and future motion picture scene, including a chapter on "California and America.

Synopsis

Vachel Lindsay (1879-1931) studied painting at the Art Institute of Chicago and then in New York with Robert Henri before becoming a poet. He was a member of the Modernist School (others included Ezra Pound,e. e. cummings, and Wallace Stevens) and published over a dozen collections of poetry.
