1785 William Wallace Heroic Actions Scotland Scottish Independence Blind Harry
William Wallace is perhaps the best known and most iconic Scottish hero. Known for his lead role in the pursuit of Scottish Independence, Wallace's life and death has lived in heroics in many different facets, most notably Blind Harry's 15th-century epic poem 'The Wallace'.
In the 18th-century, a resurgence of interest in Wallace grew throughout Scotland and editions such as this 1785 Falkirk edition is one of the best editions. Note that this example is beautifully bound with fine leather and marbled boards.
