James Parker & Co, 1891. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1891. Early series. 1296 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt. Black and white illustrations. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Very heavy cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding loose. Much of textblock detaching. A previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing, fraying and tearing to spine ends and edges. All surfaces heavily tanned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is slightly dulled.
