William Heinemann Ltd., 1902. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1902. No Edition Remarks. 476 pages. No dust jacket. Dark green cloth with gilt lettering and decoration. Deckled and rough cut text block edges. Contains black and white photographs throughout. Pages are fairly bright, with moderate tanning and foxing to free endpapers and text block edges. Heavy cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding is quite loose. Pencil inscription to front paste-down, with a few nicks and creases along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Visible thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping and scuffing to corners, and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a pronounced forward lean and subtle bow.
