This history of the Timberwolf Division (the 104th Inventry Division) covers 195 consecutive days in front line combat -- from the canals of Holland to the banks of the Mulde. Color map endpapers of 1944-45 operations; photos and maps. Hardback in very good condition with minor shelf wear. Top and bottom of spine slightly rubbed and bent. There are small brown stains at the top of the first free fly leaf and last paste-down page.

Cover has wear on corners, head and tail of spine, and wear on edge of spine at front cover. Few Dots of foxing on half-title page and frontispiece. Wear with two small tears at top of front free end papers and half title page - looks like a type of book mark or large paper clip. Some minor damp stains on lower corners of pages from first free end paper to page 176. Bent lower corners of pages 271-282.

English architect and artist Thomas Witlam Atkinson (1799–1861) received approval from Tsar Nicholas I to travel and describe the Asiatic domains of the Russian Empire. Beginning in 1847, Atkinson spent seven years on the road and rivers of Central Asia and Siberia. "Travels in the Regions of the Upper and Lower Amoor" is the second of his two accounts. This heavily illustrated story of these travels shines a light on the natural history and ethnography of the region. Serious condition problems: Water damage to top of front cover and spine; corners worn; foldout map present but in fragile condition with one tape repair; binding beginning to crack. Interior pages are clean with no extraneous writing or marks.
