I have available a first edition/first printing copy of James Michener's Pulitzer Prize winning novel, Tales of the South Pacific. This book was published in 1947 by Macmillon and bears the words "first edition " on the copyright page. The dust jacket bears the correct price of $3.00 in the correct first state position (vertically towards the top of the inside flap). The book is bound tight and is in good condition. There is some soiling , please see photos. The dust jacket is in poor condition with several portions missing and the back of the jacket has tape (I'm assuming to hold part of it together).
I would venture that this book could be a good candidate for restoration. I'm pricing it at just $150.00.
