First Edition. 8vo., title, half-title, colour frontispiece protected with tissue guard, profusely illustrated throughout with numerous monochrome illustrations and diagrams, including one folding plate. Published by George Allen and Unwin Ltd (London), 1948.
Finely bound in a later Cosway-style full navy full morocco by Bayntun Riviere in Bath with their binder's signature to the front turn-in, the upper cover with inset hand-coloured oval portrait of Admiral Hood (1724-1816) under glass, the miniature within a gilt-tooled border, double rule gilt border to covers, foliate spray corner pieces, spine separated into compartments by five raised bands finished in gilt, lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, turn-ins with gilt fillets, watered silk endpapers, red morocco gilt bookplate of W. A. Foyle, Beeleigh Abbey to front pastedown.

The short story revolves around Rankin's experience when the G8 Summit was held in Scotland in July 2005. The story was included in Rankin's short story collection published in 2015 entitled "The Beat Goes On". The proceeds from the initial sale of this work were donated to SNIP, a parent-led voluntary organisation based at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.

First Edition. 8vo, pp. x, [2], 340; aquatint vignette to the title page, folding panoramic frontispiece, 2 engraved plates (1 folding with a view of Mount Sinai Convent). Bound in modern half calf with red morocco lettering piece. Published by John Murray (London), 1823.
Some light wear to the rear board, a little offsetting from the engraved plates. A Near Fine copy.
This work provides an account of Sir Frederick Henniker's travels in the Middle East, primarily focusing on his travels in Egypt. The illustrations of Jerusalem and Mount Sinai Convent were engraved by George Hunt after drawings by Sir Frederick Henniker. (Abbey 376; Kalfatovic 258; Ibraham-Hilmy I.298.)
This copy has notable provenance being from the Library of the late William St Clair FBA, FRSL (1937-2021). William St Clair, was an esteemed Author and Historian, whose primary research interests included the history of books, ancient Greece and biography.
