This copy is signed again as a presentation copy from Rockwell Kent, affectionately inscribed: “To my friend, pilot Fred Black from his apprentice, Rockwell Kent, 1930.” Evidence of a removed bookplate on the front pastedown. Laid in is a 8” x 7” black & white photograph taken out of doors of Rockwell Kent, Fred Black, and another unidentified gentleman posed in front of a Stout Air Lines airplane, all of whom are wearing suits with Mr. Kent, alone, wearing a hat looking straight into the camera smiling, with his hands in his pockets. Illustrated throughout with woodcut illustrations by Rockwell Kent. Evidence of a removed bookplate on front pastedown, else very good plus with a small light pink discoloration to the lower left corner of the front cover with very light wear without dust jacket.

Glendale: RAS Press, 2012. First Edition, First Printing. Signed by illustrator Gary Gianni. The last Ray Bradbury book published in Bradbury’s lifetime. A haunting ghost horror tale taking place in 1880s Egypt with a passenger train that has left Cairo running out of fuel to burn. The inhabitants of the train forage around the nearby area and discover an ancient tomb yard and they steal dried mummies to burn in the engine. A original outline story for a screenplay that Bradbury was never able to get produced, the manuscript was lost for many years until being recently rediscovered and published here, illustrated with 15 remarkable color illustrations by Gary Gianni. The book was published April 25, 2012, and Ray Bradbury viewed the finished book on May 11th, and was very moved by the result, and at which time he wrote "The Nefertiti-Tut Express is a beautiful and fantastic book!" Ray passed on June 5, 2012 less then a month later. 12 by 9 inches. Paperbound. As new.
