Description:
A large collection of 352 black and white photos in an album showing members of the Manchester Fly & Bait Casting Club, club get-togethers, casting competitions, photos of members fishing (fly, bait, and lures), fish caught, with many large specimens, including Stripers, Salmon, and Trout, with the occasional Black Bass. The photos date from the late 1940s to the early 1950s, with the occasional photo dated a bit earlier. It would appear this club’s time has come and gone - I can find no record or reference to it. The photos are generally in very good condition, most with a description of the image inked in the margin, and in some cases on the photo itself. They range in size from 10 x 8, with most 6 x 5, and many in between these measurements. Many with taped edges holding the photos in place, with corresponding yellowing to the taped areas on the margins; the others have been pasted onto the album leaves. The album holding the photos is in poor condition, with several of the leaves… Read More
