1st Printing in this illustrated format. Undated (c 1920 or earlier). Unpaginated (40pp). Decorative colour endpapers. Illustrated in colour and black/white by F.D Bedford. Good condition, with partially erased ownership inscription to corner of front endpaper, light foxing internally, bumping to corners and stain to upper rear corner extending to corner of rear endpaper.
The Magic Fishbone was written by Charles Dickens in 1867, under the pseudonym "Miss Alice Rainbird, aged 7". One of four so-called "holiday romances" (including a Christmas Carol), it was first published in an American children's magazine, and subsequently "All the Year Round".

Undated, but 1st Edition with "Book Production War Economy" text on verso of title page, and dustwrapper "London Calling Overseas" wartime proclamation. Very Good condition, with no inscriptions. In the scarce original dustwrapper which has ink wording to the reverse, edge tears (mainly to upper spine edges) and abrasion to the letter "P" on the front panel.

An attractively produced record of the first meeting of the office staff of Malcolm Inglis & Co, held at St Enoch's Hotel, Glasgow on the 25th May 1901. Given to all present at the meeting.

Very Good condition with a little creasing/curling along upper edge annotation to the upper front "E & I October 3rd. 1900.".This first UK production, 1900. Prince of Wales Theatre, London. Marie Tempest appears in the title role of this play based on Anthony Hope's novel, 'Simon Dale'. This programme bears the date code to the lower corner "1-10-1900"

In original dustwrapper which is price-clipped, with edge chips/tears and loss of upper half of spine panel (hence 'Fair' condition). The dustwrapper is now protected in a non-adhesive, acid-free, transparent Melinex protector (which could be easily removed if so desired).
Particularly scarce true UK 1st Edition in original dustwrapper (this 1st Printing has brick red boards, silver lettering and lacked a price to the dustwrapper spine panel - later printings are bound in orange boards with black lettering to the spine and some have a 3/6 price overprint to the dustwrapper spine).

Biography of Irish Presbyterian minister, including St. Enoch's, also Fisherwick, Belfast, and five sections of Sermon Echoes. Loosely inserted are Ulster Pamphlets Numbers 1 & 2, relating to Professor Davey, and a 1960 Order of Service for the Funeral of The Very Reverend Principal James Ernest Davey.

This fragile and scarce production is in Good, complete condition, with some indentations and edge wear to the covers/paper spine covering, separation of the lower frontispiece, and foxing to the title page.
