The famed production attempted to alert the world to the plight of German Jews under Nazism, and featured an elaborate five level set designed by Norman Bel Geddes.

First edition of this informative Victorian work on powering electric railways, trolleys, interurbans, and heavy railways. Dr. Bell (1864-1923) was an active proponent of the conversion from steam engines to electricity for railways, not only for the cost savings, but also the increased efficiencies, less maintenance, and more horsepower. First edition of Volume One of this invaluable history of the SP&S Railway, which followed the Columbia River between Vancouver and Pasco, up the Snake river, and through Eastern Washington towards Spokane. The railroad was jointly owned by the Great Northern Railway and the Northern Pacific Railway. This volume tells the story of the main line from Portland to Spokane, with a separate chapter for each segment, Portland-Vancouver; Vancouver-Wishram; Wishram-Pasco; Pasco-Spokane. Of particular interest are the 3 Howard Fogg paintings.

This splendid original photo visually chronicles the first train to cross the newly built Rainy Lake Bridge connecting Ranier, MN with Fort Frances, ONT, and which today serves as one of the busiest rail crossings between the U.S. and Canada, serving more than 20 trains a day. An 1893 gold rush kicked off the development of the area, with the gold quickly petering out, it became the center of timber operations and paper mills.
