This, "The History of the Sacred Passion," is considered his master work. Very good solid condition. Vellum binding is present and in very good condition. First edition, first state of this fourth poetry collection from influential Chilean poet, Nicanor Parra, and representing a return to his anti-poetry form. Signed by the author on the title page. In a custom black and red clamshell case. Bound in original paper wrappers with interior folds attached and present. Modern repairs reinfocing the wrappers and the head and tail of the spine with japanese paper. Toning to the covers and minor spotting to the top edge. The interior is clean and clear throughout with no other markings or inscriptions aside from the author's signature.  Pages: 109     Dimensions: 7¾ x 5¾ x ¾  .
