Dated between 29 January 1668/9 and 18 December 1669, and arranged chronologically. Tipped onto boards, guarded, and handsomely bound into three volumes by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Amstelaedami (Amsterdam): Georgium Gallet, 1702. [118], 316, [8], 88, [60], 246pp, [10]. Full later (c. 1815) morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, authors and title in gilt to second panel, panels with triple fillet frame, covers with triple fillet border, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, shell patterned marbled endpapers. Ex-library copy with ink stamp to title, but no other signs. Rubbed to extremities, front joint split but holding well, internally some light browning throughout, occasional chipping to fore-edges, H6 with an old repair to fore-edge, Xx3 and 4 torn to bottom margin. With engraved frontispiece and six plates, title in red and black, red ruled throughout. Binding is by Antoine Chaumont, with his ticket to reverse of front marbled endpaper (at the Foin St. Jacques 18 address), described by Ramsden as "one of the most important of the 1800-1820 binders" (See Ramsden, French Bookbinders pp52/53). [6], 484pp, slightly later full morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, bands bordered by single gilt rules, covers with single fillet border, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g., with stormont pattern marbled endpapers. Spine faded, rubbed to extremities especially outer joints and spine ends, corners bumped. Internally quite bright and clean. Ex-library, but no evidence of this. Moss II:497, "very elegant and accurate edition"; Schweiger:810; Dibdin II:333, "this is one of the most beautiful and correct editions of the text of Pliny that has ever appeared". Reprint. Amstaelodami (Amsterdam): Antonium Schonenburg, 1730. [16], 298pp, [16]. Contemporary Dutch vellum gilt prize binding for the Enkhuizen Latin School, smooth spine divided into four panels by gilt double rules, flower head to centre of each panel, covers with double fillet border and large central coat of arms of Enkhuizen. Covers rubbed and a little soiled, small chip to head of front joint, lacks ties. Internally some light browning, small hole in N1 catching the page number, stain to bottom margin of T2 (not affecting text). Complete with frontispiece by G. Schoute, and twenty-seven (including four folding) further engravings by J. Van Vianen, title in red and black. Bound by Meinard Semeins, with his advertisement leaf bound in to rear. Contemporary half-russian and marbled paper over boards, smooth back, divided into six panels by gilt single rules, author and title to second panel, 'Farming Society of Ireland' to sixth panel. Rubbed to extremities, internally one plate is worn and browned to fore-edge due to poor folding, previous owners book label to front pastedown and name to head of title, occasional pencil lines and marginalia, but otherwise quite clean and bright. With eight plates (three folding). Second Edition. Half Calf and Boards. Good+. 8vo.

Lightly browned internally, signature Z lightly foxed, small nick to bottom margin of M4, with a small newspaper cutting stitched to Q2v, previous owners names to ffep. Full contemporary dark blue morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, each panel quartered with small flower, star and feather tools, covers with dog tooth roll border, with an inner frame made up of differing circular tools bordering another inner frame made up of various crown tools, with fleur-de-lis corner pieces, gilt roll to inner edges, a.e.g., with combed marbled endpapers. Slightly rubbed to covers and extremities, corners bumped, spine slightly dulled. Some light browning internally, with a few pages worn and very slightly chipped, occasional minor spotting. Attractive morocco book label to front pastedown. The Psalms are by Sternhold and Hopkins, published in London, 1760. Not in Griffiths, Estc T182596 (only three locations worldwide, all in the UK - though the Estc copy has plates, these almost certainly sold separately and bound in). Reprint. Full Morocco. Full contemporary morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, covers with gilt single fillet border and central anchor device of the Victualling Board, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g. Rubbed to extremities, corners bumped and rubbed, lightly browned and lightly spotted internally. The Psalms were published in 1808. The Victualling board was responsible for delivering supplies to the Royal Navy. Griffith 1812 (1) though with a slightly different collation. Reprint.
